Student Readiness
Simple Student Readiness Conversation
Before final enrollment, NAIA usually meets briefly with the child during the parent admissions meeting. This is not a stressful entrance exam. It is a simple conversation to help understand the child’s current level, confidence, communication ability, and learning needs.
The goal is to place the student appropriately and help teachers understand how to support them from the beginning.
Parent-Friendly Note
This conversation is not designed to reject students. It helps NAIA understand the child’s current level so parents can be guided honestly and the child can be placed in the most suitable learning pathway.
What We May Ask
Depending on the child’s age and grade level, we may ask simple questions.
- What is your name?
- How old are you?
- Can you recognize letters, sounds, or simple words?
- Can you read a short sentence or passage?
- Can you count or solve simple math questions?
- Can you explain something you enjoy learning?
- Can you follow simple instructions?
- Can you write a few words or sentences if needed?
